At some point you might look around at all the problems that you see and come to the realization that the problems are your fault. In fact, you could say that the problem is you.
This is absolutely normal. You're having a revelation. Sometimes we just realize that we suck. This is not the time to be depressed. Everybody is a stinker at some point in their life. What makes you different is you're going to do something about it.
When you realize you're the problem, take control of what's going on and make some changes. In reality, you are an awesome person. I know you are. Seriously, you know you are too. At least I hope you do. Yes you may suck at something, but that doesn't mean that you suck. It only means it's time for you to change what you suck at. It's time for you to get better!
You can get better, all you do is change. That's not a bad word. Change is good! But change takes work. At times you'll have to step out alone. Well, you do have God, if you lean on Him. But other people don't always stand with you. Sometimes you're spouse won't even stand with you. You've hurt her too much and she doesn't believe in you.
This is a critical time! It's a time to prove that you don't suck! Let your actions remind your wife and your family that you are a good man! Follow through with actions and remind yourself that you're a good person.
What actions? Small simple changes. If you keep failing while at work, create a way to block that failure. If you keep failing in relationships, create a reminder for yourself, so you know when to stop. Create mental, physical and spiritual barriers that can prevent you from screwing up.
Change comes one step at a time. Take a step today. Get a copy of Don't Be That Man for specific ideas on simple steps you can take to change the problem. If you're the problem, change yourself! I've done it and you can too!
